TEI supports Boy Scouts of America at Annual

At this event, Richard T. Anderson, President of the New York Building Congress was awarded the James E. West Award. This award, named for Scouting's first Chief Scout Executive, is a way of recognizing a Friend of Scouting and helps promote future excellence in Scouting.

The Boy Scouts of America serve young people by enabling them to develop healthy habits and make positive choices. Scouting values emphasize; a lifelong appreciation of personal fitness, including the prevention of bullying, environmental stewardship & sustainability, leadership development and STEM Education. Scouting is both fun and empowering; introducing young people to careers and preparing them to be active citizens. The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.

Boy Scout Law A Scout is: Trustworthy, Loyal, Helpful, Friendly, Courteous, Kind, Obedient, Cheerful, Thrifty, Brave, Clean, and Reverent.
