TEI Group awarded contract at Collegiate building

TEI Group awarded contract with Sciame to install 3 overhead gearless traction elevators, 1 hydraulic elevator and 1 wheelchair lift in newly constructed Collegiate School's Riverside Center Expansion.

The Collegiate School's Riverside Center expansion has a new look courtesy of project architects Kohn Pedersen Fox. The project will rise within Extell's Riverside Center development on the new Freedom Place South throughway. The all-boys school building will stand ten stories and cover 124,000 square feet.

Collegiate School, a day school for boys, is the oldest independent school in the United States. Tracing its origins to 1628, the school was established by the Dutch West India Company and the Classis of Amsterdam, the parent ecclesiastical body of the Dutch Reformed Church for the colonists of New Amsterdam. Only once in more than three centuries were the school's doors closed. When the British occupied the city during the American Revolution, most of the Dutch, including the schoolmaster and the students, had to leave the city.
