Staff Promotions at TEI Group

We are proud to announce the promotions of three staff members who have demonstrated great leadership in their respective departments. They will continue to provide outstanding support and expertise to our customer community and the vertical transportation industry at large. These new positions are effective immediately. Please note that all contact information for each staff member will remain as is.  

Wayne Locker (former Director of Technical Support) has been promoted to Vice President, Technical Support and Education.  

Wayne has been supporting all technical operations at TEI Group since 2006. With over 40 years of industry experience, he assists with defining job specifications and solutions for clients with unique settings for elevator installation and operation among other responsibilities. Wayne is a NAEC Member, IUEC Local 1 Member, NYC Elevator Code Revision Committee Member and Past Board of Director (2003-2006). He is also QEI Certified and holds a NYC DOB Director / Inspector License, NYC Master Electrician License and OSHA 10 and 30 Certification. Memorable projects include: the SpyScape Museum lift in NYC, engineering and adjusting of the World Trade Center passenger and shuttle elevators, utilizing Futura controllers, as well as many special international projects, such as: The Berlin Radio Tower and mining application elevators in South Africa.   

Robert C. Pitney (former Director) has been promoted to Chief Information Officer.  

Robert has extensive experience in developing, managing and troubleshooting information technology, spanning over 35 years. He has focused his efforts on TEI Group since 2007, managing the company's day-to-day business processes, directing the information technology initiatives, and spearheading efforts to position product technology that ensures efficiency and best practices across departments. Robert also serves on the company's Executive Committee. His published works on business process optimization can be found on Forbes.com, Businessweek.com, cnet.com and more.  

Angela Williams (former Violations Manager) has been promoted to Vice President, Code and Violations.  

Angela and her team provide comprehensive back office support for resolving code violations and scheduling mandated periodic elevator testing. Her department is responsible for filing customer permits in relation to elevator operation, maintenance and repair. Angela has been with TEI Group since 2001. In her vital role, she continues to share her wide range of expertise as she oversees all aspects of the company's interactions with the NYC Department of Buildings in connection to the vertical transportation industry.
